MontsweagRags
Cattery is “living My dream Cattery”. Years ago in 1993 I met my first Ragdoll kitten. He was so cute,
loveable and true to their name, just a floppy ragdoll in my hands.
I was in love!
At that time I had a house full of cats,
Maine Coons and strays. I wouldn’t try to raise these Giant~ Lovable~
Cuddly and Wonderful Ragdolls with so many other cats in my home. I also
had a house full of children that didn’t pay attention going in and out
watching for cats trying to follow. I said then when I lost my last cat,
and my children were grown and on their own, I would start MontsweagRags,
we started November 2008. Shortly after my last Maine Coon passed away.

Our Ragdolls are very important to us they
are now our children. They are not allowed outside to run loose, soon
hopefully they
will have an enclosed sun room. They have several cat condos in different
rooms to play on, and have full run of the house. We have changed our
children's bedrooms into cat friendly rooms. Our Den/Nursery where they socialize with us in a stress
free environment, with other kittens as well as with other mothers.
They are also born in this room with me assisting them birthing,
petting them talking with them, so they reconize my voice right
away. I hold and talk with them everyday.
It is very important to us that our cats are
not stressed. They give us so much joy and love that eases our stress, they
deserve to be as stress free as possible as well. We do not believe in
cages for daily use. When our Queens have kittens they have a large nylon
bedding area where the kittens are safe and Mom has the freedom of coming
and going when she just needs a break. For their safety they are closed in
over night, the kittens don’t get lost, and Mom doesn’t have to worry about
the others bothering her while resting. In the morning they are all allowed
out again to play and be nurtured by us into Loving & Cuddly faithful cat
for your enjoyment. It is our belief the more contact our kittens have with
us during their first 12 weeks of life the more enjoyable they will for
you.

We are members of TICA, and
Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide Club. We do show
a few of our
Ragdolls at the local TICA show. We do not travel all over with them
as this is expensive adding to the cost of the kittens.
Running to shows would also keep us away from the kittens which to
us is extremely important to their development.
